ABOUT ERIN

I like to joke that I've done a little of everything in my 14 years in early childhood education. From birth to Pre-K, teaching to directing to coaching, private child care to Head Start, I have had a range of experiences. However, one constant I've seen was the need for teachers to have access to flexible, individualized, and responsive professional development options. -Erin

Erin Kester graduated Cum Laude from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. She was a teacher in two different child development centers where she had the opportunity to teach a variety of ages from birth to Pre-K. In 2007, Erin moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to work as an Infant Toddler Specialist with a local Resource and Referral where she worked with dozens of local programs to enhance their environments and teaching practice. In 2010 Erin became the Early Childhood Education Department Head at a career college where she managed an ECE Associate's Degree program and was the director of the onsite child care center. Later, in 2012, Erin began working with the curriculum team at a very large Head Start organization and helped to train and support preschool and Pre-K teachers in their implementation of new curriculum and assessment tools. Starting in 2014, Erin became a full time speaker, traveling to conduct professional development workshops for hundreds of teachers each year across the country. She has presented breakout sessions at regional and national conferences and has worked with groups of teachers and administrators at both private and public schools.
